Katy Perry will play at the Super Bowl


Super Bowl 2015 takes place on February 1 in Glendale, Arizona and will air on NBC.

 After some speculation as to which musical artist will rock the stage for the 2015 Super Bowl, it looks like the NFL has chosen Katy Perry to take on next year's halftime show, according to Billboard.

 Katy Perry was thrown into the mix as a potential frontrunner for the big gig back, with Coldplay and gal-pal Rihanna Katy recently said on ESPN’s College Game Day, after rumors surfaced that the league wanted artists to pay to play in the coveted halftime slot.

 “I’m not the kind of girl who would pay to play the Super Bowl,”

The NFL is pulling out a new trick from its playbook. The league is toying with the concept of having artists pay to play during the Super Bowl's halftime show. This could mean that Katy Perry and plenty of other singers may not suit up to perform on the field after all.
